That is what Gundamns will be for me as I have about 50 of them I have bought over the last couple of years I have yet to try to put together.

Those have accessories you can get, as well as I want to get into painting them and customizing them more than the out of the box I have been doing int he past.

Some of the level 6 ones are going to take a week or two to get together and customized

I come here about 3 times a week now. There's just no discussion, and the stuff that goes on is boring.

It's like everybody is just constantly patting each other on the back. There's nothing new or interesting going on.

And when something slightly controversial comes up that could spark discussion, it gets locked. As was said, it's like everybody's afraid of somebody getting offended. At least, it seems like that's how the mods treat things.

Yep - that is how we treat it. The initial idea of letting everyone police themselves and treat everyone with respect was tried and it failed due to some individuals not able to keep it in a discussion manner and it turned into a personal attacks and the like.

Unfortunately when it can't be left up to the communicty to keep it at a manner that is discussion only, something has to be done. It was. I know most don't like it, but due to some not showing constraint when needed, something needs to be done to ensure it.

I'd like to not be that way as it makes the mods life more difficult to make the decisions and to watch what is going on, but as it constantly gets brought up when something like this is duscussed, if you let it go the way it was before, people then leave as they don't want to interact with certain others, it is a vicious cycle, but not sure what there is to do about it.

Well, I guess that's just the mentality that makes me not like spending much time here.

Part of why I love other boards so much, particularily PW, is that we're not afraid to express our opinions to each other and rip into one another when we feel the need to.

Personally, I feel true respect is being able to fight with somebody and then carry on afterwards. Some of the people there I fight the most with are the ones I also have the most positive discussion with.

Friends always fight with each other, and as long as I can't truly get to know somebody and get to know their feelings and opinions, I'm never going to get closer and be able to have extensive discussions with them.

Not disagreeing PH - just stating what it is. This community has proven that they can't do that and not hold a grudge. There are quite a few people that I miss contributing to this board and others, all due to a spat last year.

I think if this community was allowed to carry on down that road, we'd have only a handful (less than the handful here now) who would post.

Which way is best? Who knows. Is it the right way to go about it? Only time will tell in the long run.
